Membership rules and service terms · Last updated 26 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions set out the rules of membership at NextGen Gym and the terms for our physiotherapy, nutrition, supplement and WellFit Café services. They exist so that every member and guest can train safely and enjoy the club. Please read them carefully. By buying a membership, booking a service or using the club, you agree to them.

The key points

  • Members must be at least 14 years old. Children aged 11 to 13 may train only with a parent or guardian who is a member.
  • Memberships are paid in advance and are non-refundable.
  • Entry is by fingerprint or facial recognition. Letting someone else in through the gates is a breach of these rules.
  • All exercise and activities are at your own risk. Tell us about any health condition before you train or book a service.
  • Freezes need 7 days’ written notice and run for 1 to 3 months per calendar year (one-month memberships can’t be frozen).
  • We aim to respond to feedback and complaints within 48 hours.
Part A · Club membership

1.Introduction and definitions

In these Terms, the Company, we, us and our mean NextGen Gym Limited, including its subsidiary companies trading as Generation Fitness, which provides the Club and its facilities for the benefit of its Members. The Club means NextGen Gym, 6th Floor, NextGen Mall, Mombasa Road, Nairobi. A Member is a person who holds a current Club membership, and a guest is a person visiting the Club with a Member. Rules means the membership terms in Part A.

It is a condition of membership that Members pay the fees described in section 2 and agree to be bound by these Rules. The Rules are designed for the mutual enjoyment of Members and their guests, and they are enforced for the good of all Members.

No Member or guest will be treated differently on the basis of race, colour, nationality, gender, marital or civil status, age, disability, religion or belief.

2.Membership and fees

  1. Members must be at least 14 years of age. Members aged 11, 12 and 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also a Member.
  2. Membership fees are payable in advance. You may choose a monthly, quarterly, six-month or annual package, and the full amount must be paid before the membership start date.
  3. When you join, you will be asked to choose the exact date on which your membership should start. Your membership starts automatically on that date.
  4. If you want to change your start date, you must tell us in writing before the membership starts. Start dates cannot be backdated once a membership is running.
  5. You must keep your contact details up to date with us. Communications are treated as received on the date marked on them or, for email, on the date sent.
  6. Membership fees are reviewed every year. We will give you at least one full calendar month’s notice of any change by email or another suitable channel.
  7. We may refuse a membership application at our discretion.
  8. Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred unless we agree in writing. Where we agree to a transfer to another person, a transfer fee is payable and the membership profile will be updated to the new member.
  9. If fees or charges are not paid when due, we may temporarily refuse access to the Club until the full amount has been paid.
  10. To re-join after a membership has been paused or ended, a new membership agreement must be completed and the current fee may be charged.

3.Joining online

You can buy a membership on our Membership page. Online sign-up and payments are handled through our membership management system (GymMaster) and our payment providers. When you join online:

  • the plan, price and start date shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your purchase;
  • you must give accurate personal details, because we use them to set up your membership, activate your access and contact you in an emergency;
  • you will receive a confirmation once payment is complete, and you will need to visit reception to register your fingerprint or face for entry (see section 4);
  • these Terms apply in the same way as if you had joined at reception.

4.Club access

  1. The Club uses a fingerprint and/or facial recognition system. Members must have their fingerprint or face scanned to activate their membership, and must use it to open the entrance gates at reception. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.
  2. Jumping the turnstile, or opening the gates for other members or guests, is a breach of entry. It may lead to expulsion or a charge equal to the day-pass rate.

5.Guests

  1. Members may bring guests on payment of a day pass (single-entry pass), paid in advance or on arrival. One guest visit counts as one entry to the Club.
  2. Guests must be accompanied by their Member for the whole visit.
  3. Guests must register at reception and sign the guest disclaimer form.
  4. A Member may bring up to 5 guests per visit, unless other arrangements have been agreed in advance.
  5. Guests must be at least 15 years of age.
  6. Members are responsible for making sure their guests know and follow these Rules.
  7. We may refuse entry to any guest without giving a reason.

6.Use of facilities and services

Opening hours and classes

  1. Opening hours are set by the Company and may change without prior notice.
  2. We may close all or part of the Club at any time, without notice, for repairs, alterations, redecoration, events, Club programmes or certain public holidays.
  3. Please arrive for classes 10 minutes before the start time. An instructor may refuse entry to anyone who arrives after the class has started, and may ask a Member to leave a class if their own or anyone else’s safety or enjoyment is at risk.
  4. We make every effort to keep the class schedule accurate, but we may cancel or reschedule classes at short notice. The programme may change during public holidays.
  5. We may refuse entry to the Club at our absolute discretion.

  4. Alcohol and recreational drugs of any kind may not be brought into the Club. Breaking this rule will lead to immediate removal from the Club and may lead to termination of membership.

  6. Pets are not allowed in the Club.

  1. Lockers are available to Members and their guests while they are inside the Club.
  2. All bags must be kept in lockers and may not be taken into the fitness areas.
  3. Please empty your locker at the end of each visit. Items left overnight will be removed.
  4. We may open lockers without the Member’s permission or presence. Contents of lockers that have not been emptied will be taken to the lost and found room.
  5. Items cleared from lockers or left on the premises are kept for 10 to 15 days. Unclaimed items are then donated to charity.

8.Liability

  1. Neither the Club nor the Company accepts liability for loss of, or damage to, personal property brought into the Club by Members or guests.
  2. All activities are undertaken at the Member’s or guest’s own risk.
  3. Neither the Club, the Company nor their employees or agents will be liable for personal injury suffered by Members or guests on the Club’s premises, except where it is shown that the injury was caused by the wilful act, neglect or default of the Company, the Club, or any of their employees or agents.
  4. If you have an accident or are injured at the Club, you must report it, and how it happened, to the Manager on duty immediately.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Kenyan law.

9.Your health and safety

  1. Members and guests confirm that they are in good physical condition and able to take part in physical exercise. Use of the Club is at your own risk and subject to your own medical advice.
  2. Do not use the Club if you have an infectious or contagious illness, or a physical ailment that makes exercise unsafe.
  3. Please familiarise yourself with the fire exits and emergency routes. Staff are not required to search the building during an evacuation, so everyone must follow the evacuation instructions. Lifts do not operate during an emergency evacuation.

  5. An expelled Member loses all membership privileges and all rights against the Company.
  6. Club management reserves the right of admission to the Club.

12.CCTV

CCTV cameras operate throughout the Club, except in the changing areas and the ladies’ section. Footage of any unlawful activity may be reviewed and used for possible legal action. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Part B · Health, wellness & café services

13.About these service terms

Part B covers NextGen physiotherapy and orthopaedic care, nutrition services and body assessments, supplement sales and WellFit Café. These services are separate from gym membership. The membership Rules in Part A still apply while you are at the Club.

14.Bookings and payments

  • Book through reception or another channel we have approved, such as our official WhatsApp numbers or online booking links on this website.
  • Before you pay, we will explain the service, the price, what is included and any deposit. We will also explain cancellation deadlines, package expiry dates and any missed-appointment fee before you book.
  • Pay only through our approved payment channels, and ask for a receipt.
  • Please tell us as early as possible if you need to change an appointment. If we cancel a service you have paid for, we will offer you another suitable booking.

15.Physiotherapy and orthopaedic care

  • A suitably qualified clinician will assess your needs and explain the proposed care, its risks, benefits, alternatives and cost before asking for your consent. You may ask questions, refuse treatment or stop it at any time, but you must still pay for care already provided.
  • Please give accurate information about your health, medicines, allergies and previous treatment, and tell your clinician if your condition changes.
  • Treatment results vary and cannot be guaranteed. We may refer you elsewhere if you need services we do not provide.
  • Specialist consultations, tests and procedures are included only where we have confirmed them.
  • Clinical consent is separate from accepting these Terms. For children, we check the parent or guardian’s authority and obtain the consent required by law.

Our centre is not an emergency department. In a medical emergency, call emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.

16.Nutrition and body assessments

  • Our nutrition team gives advice within its professional role, based on your needs and the information you share. Please tell them about relevant medical conditions, medicines, allergies, pregnancy and dietary needs. We may recommend a medical review where needed.
  • Body measurements, including 3D body scans, and nutrition estimates can vary. We do not promise any particular weight, fitness or health result.
  • A free consultation covers only the services stated. Supplements, tests and special plans may cost extra.

17.Supplements

  • Buying supplements is optional. It is never a condition of receiving nutrition advice.
  • Supplements do not replace meals, medical advice or prescribed treatment. Check that a product is suitable for you with an appropriate clinician, especially if you take medicines or have a medical condition.
  • Follow the product instructions and storage guidance.
  • We will tell you about any financial interest we have in a product we recommend.
  • Your legal rights for faulty, unsafe, expired or wrongly described products still apply.

18.WellFit Café

  • Please check your order and the price before paying. Menu items, including daily specials, depend on availability. If an item you have paid for is unavailable, we will agree a replacement or a refund with you.
  • Café purchases cost extra unless your package clearly includes them.
  • Allergies: tell our staff about any allergies or dietary needs before you order, and they will confirm what can be accommodated. Food is prepared in shared areas, so please do not assume an item is free from allergens.
  • Calories and other nutrition information are estimates. Ingredients and portions may vary. Meals and drinks do not guarantee any health or weight result.
  • Follow any storage or reheating instructions provided.

19.Food orders, changes and refunds

  • Where we offer WhatsApp orders, takeaway, delivery, meal plans or catering, we will confirm the price, arrangements and any extra conditions before you pay. Please give accurate contact and delivery details.
  • Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. We will explain the options available, depending on whether preparation has started and any conditions we told you about before purchase.
  • Report wrong, missing, unsafe or poorly described items so we can look into it and put things right.

20.Respectful conduct and confidentiality

  • Treat staff and other customers with respect, and follow reasonable safety and hygiene instructions. We may refuse or pause a service where necessary for safety or because of serious misconduct. For clinical care, we will also follow our professional duties.
  • Clinical and nutrition records are confidential. Only authorised people who need the information can access them.
  • We will ask for your permission separately before using your photo or testimonial for publicity.
  • Do not record other people without their permission.
